Job Overview:
We are seeking a Technician with a passion for the performing arts to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with the technical requirements for a variety of performing arts styles, and possess excellent communication skills.
Duties:
- Sets up and maintains technical equipment for all events in the performing arts center.
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure smooth technical execution.
- Operate lighting, sound, and other technical equipment during events.
- Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
- Educate on the proper use of technical equipment.
Experience:
- Experience in technical needs for performing arts with a focus in musical theatre is desired.
- Ability to write clearly and effectively communicate technical information.
- Proficiency in public speaking to address performers and production teams on needs and standards.
- Previous experience educating others on technical aspects of performances or productions is a plus
